International Women's Day 2024 - together we are strong

Every year on March 8 we celebrate International Women's Dayto highlight the achievements, challenges and dreams of all women. International Women's Day is an important day to draw attention to women's commitment to equality and equal opportunities.

SugarShape-Family

The proportion of women in the SugarShape team is currently 85%, which is above average. But this is just one of many reasons for us to celebrate International Women's Day, because the motto "Support Your Sisters" is practiced in many areas at SugarShape.

You won't notice any of the stereotypical "bitching" here, because we all support each other and treat each other with great sensitivity. Elbows only come out at SugarShape when we roll up our sleeves together.

Managing Director Sabrina is "particularly proud of the fact that at SugarShape we not only give so many women the chance to get a Self-determined career but also Single mothers in top management have. We try to give them maximum flexibility and offer them, for example, to simply bring their children to team celebrations if it suits them better that way.

Starting a business as a woman

Starting a business as a woman can be an exciting but also challenging experience. SugarShape founders Sabrina and Laura took on the challenges together as sisters and founded SugarShape 13 years ago. They have made it their goal to develop perfectly fitting bras for every woman.

Despite the increasing numbers of women in leadership positions, there are still many barriers that hinder their career goals. "As female founders, we were repeatedly confronted with prejudices. Whether it was whether we could handle numbers and think "big enough" or that as a mother I couldn't run a company at the same time," says Sabrina. But the founding sisters have not been discouraged by these challenges and want to inspire you to follow your dreams, bring about change and support each other.

"In my experience, women are much more likely to underestimated than men - from others, but also from themselves! The first step on the road to success is that we believe in ourselves! Only then can we convince others of our vision."

"In meiner Erfahrung werden Frauen deutlich häufiger unterschätzt als Männer - von anderen, aber auch von sich selbst! Dabei ist der erste Schritt auf dem Weg zum Erfolg, dass wir an uns selbst glauben! Nur dann können wir auch andere von unserer Vision überzeugen."

Support Your Sisters

At SugarShape, "Support Your Sisters" is the message we want to get out into the world. Support Your Sisters stands for this, Love instead of resentment and to stand up for each other. We want to offer our sisters solidarity and support in all situations, especially in a world where women still have to fight against prejudice and discrimination.

Under our motto "Support your Sisters", we are committed to in many different ways for our sisters around the world. For example, we are currently donating a portion of our proceeds to the organization "Hate Aid", which supports victims of digital violence. We want to show them that they are not alone, even if they are facing huge challenges. After all, we all need support from others from time to time and together we are stronger!

To celebrate female diversity, we are presenting our lingerie and swimwear at all different bodies - and of course without retouching. We believe that we women should not compare ourselves, but that we are strongest together. Because although we may all be and look unique, we are all sisters at heart. That's why we celebrate International Women's Day!
